POWERAM Hydraulic Rod Pusher/Puller Machines & Hydraulic Power Units

Six hydraulic rod pusher/puller models cover a wide range of underground crossing requirements:

POWERAM Model 2020: The original POWERAM. The Model 2020 pioneered the concept of pushing steel rods under roadways and pulling back a utility service line. It can generate up to 98,000 lbs. of pushing force. 5 ft. long rods can be added and removed within the length of the Model 2020.

POWERAM Model 1915: This machine has the same power as the Model 2020 in a more compact unit. 4 ft. long rods can be added and removed within its 5-ft. 6-in. length.

MINI-RAM Model 1825: This model is also known as the Mini-Ram II. It can produce up to 75,300 lbs. of pushing force. 3 ft. long rods can be added and removed within the length of the Model 1825.

MINI-RAM Model 1425: This model is our smallest machine, but it does produce up to 42,400 lbs. of pushing force, giving it the power to install utility services in a wide varity of conditions. 3 ft. long rods can be added and removed within the 4-ft. length of the Model 1425

POWERAM Model 7000: This machine can develop up to 118,000 lbs. of pulling force. It is designed to replace existing utility lines by pulling a bursting or splitting tool followed by the new pipe. (Note: some patents may apply to the tools used and to the application.)

POWERAM Model 9000: This machine rotates the rod string as it pushes to increase accuracy and to facilitate the use of steering techniques to guide the bore. It has the same power as the models 2020 & 1915. A telescoping frame allows the overall length to be adjusted to fit into confined spaces. 3-ft., 4-ft., or 5-ft. rods can be can be added and removed within the length of the machine.

Three standard portable hydraulic power units are designed to match the requirements of the rod pushers listed above.

POWERAM Model 2010: A variable volume hyraulic pump driven by an 18 HP gasoline engine delivers up to 17 gpm at lower presures. Maximum pressure is 3000 psi..

POWERAM Model 2613: A variable volume hyraulic pump driven by a 24 HP gasoline engine delivers up to 22 gpm at lower presures. Maximum pressure is 3000 psi..

MINI-RAM Model 4000: A 40 HP Diesel engine driving a variable volume pump delivers up to 28 gpm at pressures to 3000 psi.

Poweram will also design and build a custom hydraulic power unit to fit your application.
